Supermemo.net transfers to the Beyond data-center

In the night of February 27 to 28, supermemo.net, which is the largest e-learning platform in Poland, moved to a new data centre. After a smooth transfer operation, the platform is now placed next to the servers of the Polish Internet giants: Nasza Klasa, Gadu Gadu and Allegro.pl.

Established in September 2007, Beyond is relatively new, yet it is the biggest data centre in Western Poland, recognised as one of the most modern centres in Europe. The centre covers an area of eight thousand square metres, with independent power supply and communications systems that guarantee appropriate security level for company data. Featuring biometric access control and extremely sensitive smoke detectors and fire alarms, the Beyond data centre is one of the best-guarded places in Poznań.

- Plans for further development of the largest e-learning platform involve a considerable expansion. This has influenced our decision to transfer to Beyond, which allows us to be prepared for hosting a large number of new users - said Sebastian Wesołowski, deputy chairman at SuperMemo World sp. z o.o., that is the owner of the platform, and the main “commander” of the transfer. With the new data centre, users of the supermemo.net platform gain nearly 100% failure-free system operation, unlimited space for saving data on their learning process, whereas SuperMemo World sp. z o.o. opens a new perspective for further expansion on the Polish and international market.
