Supermemo.net SCORM certified

The supermemo.net e-learning platform has received the SCORM 2004 (3rd edition) certificate. With this recent event, supermemo.net is now among very few e-learning systems in the world and the first one in Poland that holds the certificate of the latest and most advanced version of SCORM, 2004. At present, SCORM is the most popular standard of this type that defines methods of creating e-learning courses and their operation by distance-learning platforms.

What is SCORM?

SCORM (abbreviation for Sharable Content Object Reference Model) is a collection of standards and specifications for web-based e-learning that defines communications between client side content and a server. This standard defines the basic rules for creating trainings and IT environments (platforms), as it provides platform designers and training authors with technical requirements and guidelines. What does it mean? Creating trainings in the SCORM standard implies that the e-learning content is aimed to be as universal as possible. In January 2010 the supermemo.net platform received the SCORM 2004 certificate, which allows to use the supermemo.net e-learning platform to run internal trainings not only with SuperMemo courses, but also with any other materials created in the universal SCORM standard. With this new development, SuperMemo World’s offer has become attractive for companies that are seeking to improve their own e-learning solutions by transferring their trainings to supermemo.net and integrating them with the largest e-learning platform in Poland.
