As in previous years, SuperMemo World took part in Online Educa in Berlin – an international fair on new technologies. Online Educa w Berlinie. Find out what’s been “hot” at this year’s conference!

For us, it was a showcase for testing and presenting our original Virtual Classroom project to a wider audience at numerous conferences and meetings. The Virtual Classroom will be a permanent tool available in supermemo.net users’ accounts very soon, making it possible to hold multimedia meetings and video conferences that participants may conveniently join from their home. In the board, users will be able to publish their drawings, presentations, films and even share their desktops with others.

Besides, this year Educa was dominated by the following subjects:
• synchronisation between platforms – SuperMemo World was one of the few companies participating in Educa that could boast about this smart technology
• applications and solutions created for mobile devices (with the Android, iOS, RIM systems) – an update of the SuperMemo for iPhone application is coming soon and the SuperMemo for Android application will be launched at the beginning of 2012
• working in the cloud, an extremely fashionable idea recently
• movable content, i.e. common standards while creating content, including sharing it as a whole or in parts (reusability)
• influence of social media and their application in e-learning (also including blogging and micro-blogging).

Visitors to our stand were interested in courses for learning Arabic, inquired about our exam preparation courses, as well as about the grounds and assumptions of the SuperMemo method. Our users praised SuperMemo courses for children, stressing the personal charm of Memo the Dragon, who is kids’ favourite :)
